Presidential Search December 2021 Update

The search for the next president of Texas State University is proceeding as planned, with the expectation of a sole finalist being named in April 2022.

Highlighted below are a few updates on the search process:

• Based upon feedback from the executive search consultant, Russell Reynolds, there has been strong Texas and national interest in the position, with many outstanding nominations, prospects, and applicant inquiries to date.
   
• Since November, the position has been advertised widely and distributed to nearly 200 senior-level executives at universities across the U.S.
   
• High-quality candidates continue to be strategically recruited with a priority deadline of January 3, 2022, to ensure consideration.
   
• The Advisory Search Committee will confidentially review candidate materials and narrow the pool during January and February, and recommend a small number of candidates for the Chancellor's consideration in March 2022.
   
• Again, all members of the Texas State University campuses and communities are strongly encouraged to participate in the presidential search recruitment process by sending outstanding nominations to: TXSTATE.President@russellreynolds.com
