Presidential Search February 2022 Update

Highlighted below are a few updates on the search process:

• The search for the next president of Texas State University is proceeding as planned, with the expectation of a sole finalist being named in April 2022.
   
• National recruiting efforts and nominations produced many outstanding candidates who submitted materials by the priority deadline in early January 2022.
   
• During January and early February, the Advisory Search Committee confidentially reviewed applicant materials and narrowed the pool to approximately a dozen candidates based upon the leadership agenda, key priorities, and desired attributes previously identified by university and community stakeholders (Presidential Search Prospectus).
   
• The Advisory Search Committee will conduct several rounds of interviews during February and March to ultimately recommend a small number of candidates for the Chancellor’s consideration.
   
• We are confident in our search process and our goal remains the same - finding the highest quality individual and leader to be the next president of Texas State University!
