Presidential Search November 2021 Update

The search for the next president of Texas State University is proceeding as planned.

Highlighted below are a few updates on the search process:

• Based upon feedback from the executive search consultant, Russell Reynolds, there has been strong Texas and national interest in the position, with many outstanding nominations, prospects, and applicant inquiries to date.
   
• The Presidential Advisory Search Committee met for the first time in mid-October 2021 to discuss the search process and timeline, and to provide feedback on leadership priorities and desired presidential attributes.
   
• A comprehensive Presidential Search Prospectus was drafted based upon feedback from the search committee, as well as from meetings with key stakeholder groups including: the Faculty Senate; Staff Council and Affinity Groups, Student Leaders, Council of Chairs, Deans of the Colleges, Associate Deans for Research, Foundation Leadership and Athletic Donors, the President’s Cabinet, and information from the online survey.
   
• The Texas State University Presidential Search Prospectus has been posted to the Texas State University Presidential Search website.
   
• All members of the Texas State University campuses and communities are strongly encouraged to participate in the presidential search recruitment process by sending outstanding nominations to: TXSTATE.President@russellreynolds.com

• A priority deadline of January 3, 2022, has been established for presidential applications and materials to be submitted, including a CV and a letter of interest.
